A good blend of flexibility and stability for standard and Drop D on many guitars, 9-46 is a common (but not exclusive) choice for me. The XS strings feel and sound excellent and they last a long time, even through the heat and sweat of a full day of recording in a non-air conditioned room or outdoor summer gigs.

Without a doubt the best strings I've ever used. I've been a fan of hybrid 09 -46 strings for many years: I've used Rotosound, Ernie Ball and Elixir as well as uncoated D'addario and the XT strings. XS are the perfect balance of feel, tone and longevity. For me they are unbeatable.

I love these strings. Nice smooth feel that lasts the entire time they're on and they ring out better than any coated string I've tried before.
