Aaron Turner

“For years, D'Addario strings have consistently provided the best tone, stable tuning, and longevity, out of anything I've tried. The range of available gauges has also been something I'm grateful for across various conventional and experimental tunings, set ups, and neck lengths. For both the studio and live settings, I will always prefer D'Addario.”

About Aaron Turner

Aaron Turner is a visual and musical artist based in Vashon, Washington, whose work has helped shape the experimental and progressive heavy music spaces since the mid-1990s. Best known as a founding member of both ISIS and SUMAC, Turner’s playing blends crushing, heavy riffs with adventurous improvisation, versatile textures, and longform composition: all drawing from decades of experience in the underground metal and punk communities.

In addition to SUMAC, Turner has performed and recorded with projects including Old Man Gloom, Pharaoh Overlord, Greymachine, and Mamiffer, collaborating with artists such as Moor Mother, Justin Broadrick, Keiji Haino, The Bug, and Stephen O’Malley.
