About David Russell

Grammy-winning classical guitarist David Russell is renowned for his superb musicianship and inspired artistry, earning high praise from audiences and critics alike. A prolific recording artist, he has 17 albums with Telarc International. He won the Julian Bream Guitar Prize twice and numerous international competitions, including the Andrés Segovia, José Ramírez, and Francisco Tárrega Competitions. Russell tours globally, performing at prestigious venues in cities like New York, London, and Tokyo. In 1997, he was named a Fellow of The Royal Academy of Music, and in 2018, he was inducted into the Guitar Foundation of America's Hall of Fame.
