About Jeff Coffin

Before he joined Dave Matthews Band in 2008, Jeff Coffin picked up three Grammys in just 14 years for his work with Béla Fleck & the Flecktones. As a solo artist, he’s put out 15 solo albums, has built a hard-won reputation as an in demand session player in Nashville, and spends his remaining time in music education. Coffin teaches improvisation at Vanderbilt University, has authored and co-authored several books on musicianship, and even runs his own music label, Ear Up Records.
