Jeff Pifher

Jeff Pifher is a saxophonist, composer, and producer whose work spans jazz performance, film, and music education. His band, Socrates’ Trial, has released multiple albums, including Live at Bluewhale (2020). They’ve also performed at major venues like the Jazz Education Network Conference and Catalina Jazz Club. His short documentary, In the Same Direction: Jeff Pifher & Socrates’ Trial, won 24 international film festival awards. Beyond jazz, Jeff has produced projects like Somewhere, a short film musical on immigration reform. Jeff is on faculty at Idyllwild Arts Academy, a member of the Recording Academy, and the founder of Next Level Sax.
