About Mike Seal

2x Grammy-nominee Mike Seal is a guitarist, recording artist, and educator based in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s best known for his precise fingerstyle technique, and an approach to electric guitar that blends elements of jazz fusion, Americana, bluegrass, and other genres into one distinctive style.

In recent years, Mike has toured and recorded extensively with dobro legend Jerry Douglas. His playing can also be heard on projects with artists including John Hiatt, Sierra Hull, Sarah Siskind, Jeff Coffin, Jeff Sipe Trio, Viktor Krauss, and Yonrico Scott. Alongside his work as a sought-after sideman, Mike maintains an active solo career, releasing his acoustic-focused debut Dogwoods in 2018, with the full-band follow-up Danger Ranger arriving in 2025.

Mike is also a respected educator and has served as a featured instructor at Tommy Emmanuel’s guitar camps in both Memphis and Nashville.
