Once they are set up they look similar as the older model but I removed 3 stars as the quality is not what it used to be.
I had bought one some years ago and liked it so much that I wanted two more. As they were having a promo sale, I ordered two more some weeks ago. I don't know if d'Addario changed its stool supplier but they are now very difficult to put together. The “allen key” that comes with it is not strong enough to turn the screws properly, I had to use my impact drill to get them in. Some of the screws were not made properly (see attached photo) and were very easy to strip, even with the allen key. Also, some of the round bracing parts had holes that were a bit offset.
This stool is the correct height for playing. Most stools are too tall.
I ordered 2 stools but didn't know my old address was still in there as the shipping address until the order was placed. I sent a note to customer service and was taken care of like always. Received my stools, built them in 15 minutes and was enjoying them immediately. And they are strong enough to support my 230 lbs.
super quality! love it!
