Ben Redwine

New Orleans-based clarinetist Dr. Ben Redwine has played just about everything, just about everywhere. He’s performed in jazz clubs and classrooms, and played with Brahms and Ellington, the legendary DUKES of Dixieland and his own Redwine Jazz Band, and while regularly performing with the Louisiana Philharmonic and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestras. Before moving to the birthplace of jazz in 2016, Redwine spent 27 years in the U.S. military band system and held teaching positions at The Catholic University of America and Southern University. He’s appeared at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, performed at seven International Clarinet Association ClarinetFests, and can be heard as the musical voice of WBUR's Circle Round podcast. In 2022, he received the St. Tammany Cultural Arts Council's Lifetime Achievement Award.
