About Will Vinson

London-born saxophonist and composer Will Vinson moved to New York City in 1999 and never looked back. Since then, he’s performed and recorded with Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ari Hoenig, Linda May Han Oh, Chris Potter, Kurt Elling, Lage Lund, Aaron Parks, Rufus Wainwright, Sean Lennon, and Beth Orton, and has played in more than 50 countries along the way. Vinson has released ten albums as a leader, including the trio record Tripwire with Eric Harland and Matt Penman, and currently tours with Trio Grande alongside Nate Wood and Gilad Hekselman. He has also authored two books that explore his approaches to time and harmony.
