EVANS EC Resonant series features a single ply of 10mil film and is designed with the ability to correct tuning inconsistencies while offering a more centered pitch, increased resonance and dynamic range. EVANS Level 360 technology is incorporated to extend the level playing surface of the drumhead, 360 degrees around the drum. The vertically enhanced collar design guarantees even contact with the critical bearing edge of the drum shell, resulting in: ease of tuning, extended pitch range and optimum quality of sound. EVANS Level 360 technology resolves the age-old dilemma of traditional synthetic heads consistently not fitting the drum shell without using considerable force.

Ideal For: Rock, Pop, Gospel

Made in the USA at our New York production facility.

How to tune your drum set

How to Choose a Tom Reso Drumhead

There are a few different options when it comes to tom reso heads. But how to choose a tom resonant head really comes down to your desired sound and size. Knowing the size of your tom is important as not every tom reso head is available in every size, so it’s wise to start with that. Once you’ve chosen a size, focus on the tone you’d like to find. EVANS Tom Reso heads product pages have great explanations of the tone you can expect from each head. EC Resonant heads for instance offer a centered pitch while correcting tuning inconsistencies. Resonant black tom heads have a very cool dark aesthetic and reduced sustain. G1 coated heads add warmth while blending bright tone with greater sustain and sensitivity.

So to sum it up, choose your size, choose your head, and let your tom tone resonate!

Stay On The Attack

EVANS EC heads feature Sound Shaping Technology™ (SST™) rings on the underside reduce unwanted frequencies and enhances attack.
