His groundbreaking career spans collaborations with Miles Davis, Weather Report, David Bowie, Madonna, Sting, Daft Punk, and Dire Straits, among many others. From pioneering jazz fusion with Weather Report to shaping pop and rock on Let’s Dance and Random Access Memories, Hakim’s drumming has left an indelible mark across genres.
A passionate innovator, Hakim was an early adopter of electronic drum technology, becoming the first international spokesperson for Roland’s V-Drums. He has also led multiple projects, including The Trio of OZ and Ozmosys, while continuing to push rhythmic boundaries as a performer, composer, and producer.
