Well, I got the wrong strings in my order. Ordered a custom nyxl set for electric guitar and got a set of acoustic strings. Have emailed twice and has gotten no response of any kind back and its been almost 2 weeks. Very upsetting
I used this NYXL custom string set for a PRS 12 string electric guitar as they helped me recreate the PRS recommended string gauge set that is no longer in production. The strings are great. They are clean, articulate, and jangly on this 12 string, and have a bite to them too. I’m very happy with them, and they gave me the opportunity to properly re-string this guitar with the recommended string gauges, which as I said weren’t available with a standard production string set that I could find. Originally the guitar when I got it used/excellent had much lighter strings 8-40s, but they were chirping like crazy. The set recommended by PRS is a custom set of 10-46s that they don’t make anymore. Putting on the slightly heavier recommended strings set made all the difference in the world, and there is no more pick chirping. For this I’m am grateful. Thank you D’Addario for making custom sets of high quality strings available!
Just what the Player ordered... Very happy with these... Blair
These NYXL strings are basically what I expected; I honestly prefer the XS strings over the NYXL strings. Sadly getting the NYXL gauges you want cost the same as buying XS strings (thankfully for my second order I had a discount code to offset this); Upcharging customers 25% just so they can get the gauges they want seems a bit rapacious. I’m unsure why you can’t just get the XS strings in the gauges you want.
Also, I understand D’Addario is all about color codes for strings, but it does make it kind of a pain figuring things out when EADGBe would just make things so much easier.
D'Addario makes the finest guitar strings that exists, they stay in tune and are strong, bright and full of sound. I have been playing guitar since 1988, and professionally 15 years, no one does it better than NYXL's.
NYXL is the benchmark for excellent tone. With the ability to make custom sets, this level of tonal perfection can be extended to non-standard combinations of string gauges.
This string set is excellent and the quality is there. I've been at D'addario for 15 years and I've never been disappointed! I now have my own set and I'm delighted! Thank You D'Addario 🔥
4 star only because all the strings I had customed were not wound. This has since been rectified and I am waiting for the extra to arrive. Otherwise I always use D'Addario strings in C running and they are most excellent indeed for their strength and tone. Being a heavy palm muting player I require good quality string to achieve this and don't mind paying the over heads to get the best.
Absolutely insane! Although I do wish the string layout on the custom sticker was more noticeable instead of at the bottom corner of the box. However, it’s not a dealbreaker. Worth it.
Very high quality strings.
I quite enjoyed the D’Addario NYXL Strings because they feel very responsive and they sound clear through the amp while maintaining good tuning.
The NYXL's are my favorite strings and I am glad I can get custom sets. I use an 11-54 for my C standard tuned SG. It's exactly what I want from a set of strings.
I am thoroughly enjoying my custom strings. I will keep ordering them in the future.
Great option to have a slightly heavier B a slightly lighter G.
I’ve been using NYXL strings for years and had this set built for an open G set up for one of my Telecasters, minus the low E string. Couldn’t be happier with the set.
custom set brings the reliability of NYXL to the versatility of being able to make a set that's just right for you feel
Never been disappointed with any of your strings. I’ve been playing with them for over 20 years…
The best strings for overall feel and sound. I use them on all my guitars with a variety of tunings. They last a long time, which is great because I play as much as sleep. Sometimes more than that.
I love being able to order custom gage strings! and singles
My Daario custom sets mean a lot and work wonders. I use them very often when I’m restraining recording-based instruments!!!!
Awesomeness!!

Great strings
Love the custom set options!
Great quality while also providing a superb amount of single string customization at a very reasonable price and shipping time to Germany.
Everything was great except the shipping cost as a little high.
Strings not wrapped in sealed packaging. Seemed old or dead once they were installed.
Expensive shipping and both times I bought the strings they took 7+ days to ship.
These were the right size for a custom 8 string that I own. I had to experiment for a few months. Sound very even across the 5 octaves my instrument produces.
They worked out beyond my expectations.
Best strings on the market
