Mike Portnoy, a founding member of Dream Theater, played with the band for 25 years. He currently drums for Sons Of Apollo, The Winery Dogs, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, The Neal Morse Band, and Metal Allegiance. He has also worked with Avenged Sevenfold, Twisted Sister, Adrenaline Mob, and many others. Mike has won 30 Modern Drummer Magazine Reader's Poll Awards, including Hall of Fame Inductee and Best Progressive Rock Drummer (13 times). He is the youngest drummer inducted into Modern Drummer's Hall of Fame.
