Glenn Kotche

Glenn Kotche is a percussionist, composer, and the rhythmic backbone of Wilco since 2001. His studio debut with the band was the groundbreaking Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and he has contributed to multiple critically acclaimed albums, including the Grammy-winning A Ghost Is Born. Beyond Wilco, he has recorded with artists such as Andrew Bird, Neil Finn, and Radiohead’s Phil Selway, and co-founded Loose Fur and On Fillmore. An adventurous composer, Kotche has written for ensembles like Kronos Quartet, Silk Road Ensemble, and Bang on a Can All-Stars. His ability to merge rock, classical, and avant-garde percussion has earned him praise across genres, with composer John Luther Adams calling him a “one-man percussion orchestra.”
