About Juan Chi

Juan Chi is a multi-instrumentalist, guitarist, percussionist, and vocalist best known as the co-founder of Zeta, the Venezuelan post-rock group he helped launch in 2003. With over two decades of relentless touring, Juan has played a pivotal role in shaping the band's signature blend of polyrhythmic Afro-Caribbean percussion, punk rock, and post-rock soundscapes. His guitar playing and vocal stylings fuel Zeta’s killer performances, described by Orlando Weekly as "a stunning latticework of guitars and vocals that weaves, dances, and dives" around the band’s rhythmic foundation.

Now based in South Florida, Juan continues to push boundaries with Zeta while building artistic collaborations and community-building efforts. He remains committed to exploration and innovative performance has solidified his place as a forward-thinking force in modern post-rock.
