Kyle Brownlee is the drummer of the metalcore band Counterparts as well as the founder of Soundblind Drums. He also plays guitar and produces music.
Brownlee started drumming at age 8. His drumming began to evolve significantly, morphing from rock to death metal, when he discovered a double kick pedal. When he started playing in bands around the local Toronto area and simultaneously uploading drum content to YouTube, opportunities began to present themselves. This eventually resulted in joining Counterparts as a drummer and songwriter, which provided opportunities to tour internationally.
Kyle’s newest project, Soundblind Drums, is a drum software company providing mix-ready and feature packed drum samplers that let musicians create music faster, perpetuating the creative workflow during the writing and mixing process. With Soundblind libraries being sampled, coded, designed, and mixed, and all by Kyle, the creative vision of Soundblind Drums is producing fantastic results.
