About Gene Hoglan

Gene Hoglan is acclaimed for his creativity in drum arrangements, including use of abstract devices for percussion effects and his trademark lengthy double-kick drum rhythms. His playing style is highly demanding, but he wasn’t nicknamed the “The Atomic Clock” and “Human Drum Machine” for nothing. Hoglan has manned the kit for several metal bands across his career, including Dark Angel, Dethklok, Strapping Young Lad, Death, and thrash legends Testament.
