Finding the best drumstick isn’t always as simple as pick and play, but knowing what to look for makes all the difference. From size and taper to tip shape and material, every detail affects your sound and feel. Diameter + Length + Weight
The diameter of a stick in your hand is the primary element in its feel. Length and weight are also important. Shorter and lighter sticks produce a more delicate sound and may require more effort to play louder. Longer and heavier sticks produce greater intensity and allow you to play louder with less effort.
Model 7A
Lighter weight and smaller diameter. Ideal for lighter play or smaller hands.

Taper
The length of the taper and diameter where it meets the tip determines how quickly the stick rebounds off drums and cymbals. ProMark models feature a longer taper for an active response, while ProMark Classic models have a shorter taper, driving the force of the stick into the drum.
ProMark Long Taper
