Stratøs

Stratøs is a saxophonist, composer, producer, photographer, and cinematographer whose mastered the worlds of jazz, experimental chamber music, and visual art. Originally from Michigan, the Los Angeles-based artist has earned multiple ASCAP honors, including three consecutive Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards, and the Johnny Mandel Prize. His self-produced debut album Planets combined death metal, jazz, and cinematic tones, while Hohenheim Suites drew inspiration from anime hit Full Metal Alchemist, and features collaborations with the JACK Quartet. His latest project, Challenger Deep, follows a descent into the Mariana Trench as a metaphor for environmental and historical reckoning. Beyond his solo work, Stratøs has worked with acclaimed artists like Charlie Burg and Jordan Temple, and contributed to network television and feature film soundtracks.
