These strings have been my go to on all my acoustics for many years! I;ve tried all other versions but none give me the tone I look for. I would agree that they are slightly bright when firsy put on but they soon mellow in a perfect combination of clarity and timber. I do find they usually loose their luster after a couple of 3 hour gigs but are still playable for the next practice session. Thanks for a great product. Ray
