I love the wound third! This gauge is perfect for my style of playing and they have such resonance and amazingly heavy tones. I will always always always recommend this set to people to try out.

I had a set of ej-22 on my 1948 d-28 for a year or more they were great. I ordered two more sets of ej-22 from amazon. I replaced the old ones with the amazon ej-22. They were dull right out of the pack. I ordered directly from d’addario a set of ej-17 and a set of ej-22. I installed the 22’s. They are somewhat dull but not as good as the originals i put on. I guess i will move to the 17’s.
