Excellent as are every gauge string set I have ever played from the XL line. Beautiful tone, best all around string. I find that .050 G string works best for my ‘57 American Vintage Precision. Eventually I took a chance and tried this ‘balanced’ set. They are surprisingly more playable and responsive than I expected. My gigs require me to play pop, rock (finger and pick), funk (including aggressive slap and pop) R&B, country and jazz. This set has handled them all without feeling overwhelming. Also, my bass is handling the tension well without maxing out my truss rod.
