FAQs

My Micro Tuner is flashing when I turn it on. Is this normal?

This is a built-in feature of our pre-2019 Micro Tuners to notify players that the tuner is in Idle Mode, meaning that the tuner is awaiting a vibrating signal from the instrument. Make sure your tuner is fastened securely on the headstock/body of your instrument and play one note at a time to allow the tuner to receive the note’s vibration. Once the vibration decays, the tuner will resume flashing to notify you that the tuner is still on.

NOTE: This feature cannot be deactivated and only pertains to the pre-2019 Micro Tuner models that contain the metronome and green-red LCD screen.

These sound hole tuners are great, they fit to the inside edge of any acoustic sound hole and are very reliable and discreet to onlookers, whilst you tune your guitar before playing 👍
It would be so much nicer if these were made rechargeable with a C connect charge cable tho, altho I will say the flat battery that are used for these tuners, do last a long time. I would've said 5 stars if they were rechargeable so I've put 4 stars b'cos they run from a flat battery. I'm happy all the same, thanks D'Addario, brilliant, i have 3 now, one for each of my 4 acoustics. I'll get the 4th sound hole tuner soon lol 😆 👍💯✌️❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

Hi Ian, thank you for your feedback! We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying the Acoustic Guitar Micro Soundhole Tuner. Thank you so much for choosing D'Addario!

Micro Soundhole Tuner "Good", But Not For Ovation

The Micro Soundhole Tuner is a great invention, but it will not work with either of my Ovation acoustic or Ovation acoustic/electric guitars. The edge around the soundhole is too thick for the tuner to slide on and grip, and therefore the tuner will not mount on the edge of the soundhole. Rather than send it back, I passed it on to my daughter for her Seagull guitar.

Sleek and minimal. Easy to see and use without detracting from guitar’s beauty.

Works great easy to use Back is open exposing the metal battery

Works great easy to use
Back is open exposing the metal battery, so far not a problem
I have to put it more on the side of sound hole due to brace for a 855 Taylor 12 string next gen model

Awesome product ! Easy to use and

Awesome product ! Easy to use and small

Love the soundhole tuner. I have purchased several and have even given them as gifts.
Hopefully, there will be a rechargeable soundhole tuner developed.

I really enjoy the convenience and accuracy of the micro sound hole tuners from Daddario! They work great and don’t use a lot of battery power.

It just works!

Great product good price

The tuner seems to work well and it's nice and discreet tucked away in the sound hole of my guitar.

Discreetly hits the bill.

I am quite pleased with the tuner and have ordered two more to put in my guitars. I really like not having a big chunk of plastic on my headstock. Also the tuner is 'always there.' In use it is easy to turn on and off, readout is quite visible and the tuner itself is extremely accurate. I knock off one star because the tuner sometimes has trouble reading my low E 6th string (as do many other tuners). If I chime the 6th string on the 12th fret the reading usually pops right up.

The Best Tuner They’ll Never See

Designed specifically for acoustic guitar, ukulele, and other acoustic instruments, the chromatic Micro Soundhole Tuner remains perfectly concealed within the instrument’s soundhole for discreet tuning. The bright, multi-color display allows easy viewing in any environment.

"I’ve always used D’Addario tuners. When they came out with the Soundhole Tuner, it was a game changer. It fits neatly into my guitar & when I look down while playing, it’s visible."
