About Sam Fender

Sam Fender is a British singer-songwriter known for his anthemic indie rock sound and socially conscious lyrics. Born in 1994 in North Shields, England, he gained recognition with his debut album, Hypersonic Missiles (2019), which topped the UK charts. Fender’s music blends soaring melodies with heartfelt storytelling, often tackling themes of mental health, social inequality, and working-class struggles. His follow-up album, Seventeen Going Under (2021), further cemented his reputation, earning widespread critical acclaim and a BRIT Award. With his distinctive voice and Springsteen-inspired songwriting, Fender has become one of the most compelling voices in modern British rock.
