Building on our proven Artist Capo design, The D’Addario Artist+ Carbon Capo is enhanced with ultra-strong, lightweight carbon fiber construction. By combining the strength of metal with the reduced weight of carbon fiber, it’s highly durable but adds virtually no weight to the neck of your guitar. Patented trigger geometry reduces the force required to operate the capo while applying even tension across any neck profile. Carbon Capo

Lighter weight than similar metal units, which is especially nice on light-weight instruments. The spring tension adjusts easily, and the "rubber" coating on the section contacting the back/side of the neck assures there won't be any harsh contact that might "ding" the neck or create a "clunk" sound. The top (string contact) section is curved to match the radius of most steel-string guitars. Price is comparable to similar capos of various brands, resulting in good function-to-price ratio

I don't like that the control arm faces up

I don't like that the control arm faces up. it cramps the space and makes chord changes and complex fingering difficult. when playing close to the capo
