About Alvvays
This self-described variety band incorporates altered tunings and manual vibrato strumming on everything from early short-scale student models to full-size offset tremolo guitars. They need gear that can keep up.
The NYXL 11-49 can handle all manner of use and abuse so we can veer between skronky and tuneful without having to tune up very often.
These cables keep every note crisp and true whether its for shimmering melodies or dreamy textures. They deliver the pristine signal the band’s lush indie sound demands.
Alvvays (pronounced “Always”) is a dream-pop and indie rock band from Canada, led by singer-songwriter Molly Rankin. Their self-titled debut (2014) featured the breakthrough hit “Archie, Marry Me,” capturing a nostalgic, sun-drenched sound. With shimmering guitars, melancholic melodies, and introspective lyrics, Alvvays refined their sound on Antisocialites (2017) and Blue Rev (2022), drawing comparisons to bands like The Smiths and My Bloody Valentine. Known for their lush production and emotional depth, Alvvays continues to define modern indie pop with a unique blend of wistful longing and sharp songwriting.
