Lowertown

Lowertown is the New York-based duo of Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg, whose music collides indie rock, folk, punk, and experimental pop into something messy, heartfelt, funny, and completely their own. Emerging from Atlanta’s DIY scene and shaped by internet culture, fandom, and online community, the band has built a fiercely devoted following through both their music and their larger creative universe.

Their latest album, Ugly Duckling Union, pushes Lowertown far beyond a traditional record, unfolding through comics, recurring characters, worldbuilding, and even a playable Minecraft experience. Fully written, recorded, produced, and mixed by the duo, the project explores identity, alienation, friendship, absurdity, and the strange comfort of finding your people online and off.
