Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings are our best-selling acoustic set. D'Addario was the first to use Phosphor Bronze in acoustic guitar strings in the early '70s. Today, Phosphor Bronze is considered the pinnacle of acoustic string alloys, thanks to its beautiful sonic balance and tonal warmth, suitable for all musical genres.

D’Addario also had a hand in creating 80/20 Bronze acoustic guitar strings, a close second to Phosphor Bronze in terms of popularity. Boasting the brightest tone of any D'Addario acoustic string, this bold alloy was developed by John D'Addario Sr. and guitar maker John D'Angelico back in the 1930s. It's been revered by guitar players around the world ever since, for its remarkable depth, rich, bright harmonics, and broader depth of sound.
