Why String Choice Matters
- Beginner players often start with steel core strings, which are durable, long-lasting, and affordable. Steel cores are also stable in pitch, but often have less elasticity and a narrower tonal range compared to synthetic strings.
- Strings wear out over time due to corrosion, residue, and build-up. Old strings can lose tone, create intonation issues, and develop a dull sound. Cleaning regularly helps extend their life.
- Regular replacement is key. We recommend changing strings and scheduling instrument check-ups at least once a year, to ensure optimal sound and performance.
