Margarita Escarpa is considered one of the greatest classical guitarists of our time. She excels with outstanding musicality, extraordinary sensitivity, and powerful subtlety.
While still a student, Margarita won ten awards including the prestigious "20th Solo Guitar Competition," organized by the Guitar Foundation of America. This prize, together with her excellent musical qualities, gave her the opportunity to perform regularly at the most important international festivals and major venues in Europe, America, and Asia.
Margarita Escarpa masters a broad solo and orchestral repertoire, and she is specially noted for her transcriptions, which have earned the admiration and praise of audiences and critics. She has also recorded CDs for RTVE (Spanish Radio and Television group), Opera Tres, Naxos, La
Ma de Guido, and GHA Records.
Additionally, Margarita has gained recognition as a committed and passionate guitar teacher, who never stops learning with her students.
