Richard Fortus

Guns n' Roses

"Nickel Bronze, Light, 12-53 strings never sound too bright or new. They are perfect right out of the box. They sound warm and broken in, with loads of sustain and punch. The perfect acoustic string."

ABOUT Richard Fortus

Richard's first band, Pale Divine, was signed to Atlantic records. The band released their debut album and toured supporting the Psychedelic Furs. Richard also began playing with the Furs and after the tour, he began writing with Richard Butler, singer of the Furs, for what would become a new band called Love Spit Love. They released two albums before reforming the Furs.

During this time, Richard had become an in-demand session guitarist in New York City, playing on countless TV ads, film scores, and albums. He then started his own company and began composing music for film, television, and video games.

Richard did many tours with artists such as Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Crystal Method, Jesse Malin, and BT, and has been a member of Thin Lizzy, The Psychedelic Furs, Love Spit Love, and Honky Toast. In 2002, he joined Guns N' Roses. After 18 years, he is the longest tenured member next to Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed.
