Tension
Tension refers to how tight a string is, which varies how it physically and sonically responds. Classical guitar string sets are gauged to produce a certain tension in the strings when tuned to standard pitch, ranging from light, normal, and hard, to extra hard tension. Light tension strings sets are the easiest to play, and normal tension sets are the most common, however higher tension sets produce more volume and a fuller tone.
