About Blu DeTiger
Whether backing up megastars in arenas or climbing the charts as a solo artist, Blu leans in to her house and funk roots on strings that can keep up.
I love the Nickel Wound XL bass strings because they work for any type of song and situation, whether that be in the recording studio or live on stage. They're smooth and classic but can also really cut through.

Raised in Manhattan by artist Jonny Detiger, DeTiger began playing bass at seven. Inspired by funk icons like Prince and Zapp, she was mentored by Jerry Barnes and Steven Wolf. She DJed around New York, gaining fame for her bass grooves. Touring with Caroline Polachek and the Knocks, she released viral tracks like "In My Head" and "Figure It Out." Her debut EP, How Did We Get Here?, featured hits like "Cotton Candy Lemonade." DeTiger graced the cover of Bass Player magazine and signed with Capitol Records, releasing singles like "Blondes" and "Hot Crush Lover.".
