I’ve used D’addarrio strings on stage for around forty years, bass and guitar. I don’t know if there the best, but they have never failed me and they’re the only strings I choose.

Been using these strings since 2012, I use to use the Slowwound version since the mid 90s,but they shit down that version,only to find out that the nickel XL is basically the same string!! They sound pretty much the same as the Slowwounds, been using them on all of my basses!!!

Exactly what I was looking for. I’ve used 170’s for years but needed a little more punch on the bottom end. Perfect for my application.
